Ahead of its debut at Frankfurt Motor show in September, Nissan has unveiled the all new NP300 Navara Pick-up truck for Europe. Nissan NP300 Navara sets a new benchmark in one-tonne pick up segment with summing up the best of Nissan's crossover leadership with more than 80 years of experience in manufacturing clever engineered pickups. At every turn of new Nissan NP300 Navara, the Nissan’s engineers have ridden the edge of innovation to deliver the desirable performance. With its world class engine and cutting-edge technologies, this vehicle allow you to go anywhere with full confidence. Bringing the new styling at inside and out and new 2.5-litre diesel engine along with new technologies, the third generation Nissan NP300 Navara is poised to offer improved refinement and comfort retaining nameplate's off-road ability, durability and capacity. There are no surprises in terms of styles and the model looks identical to that sold in Asia and America. For Malaysian buyers, this vehicle is available in two body styles – Double Cab and Single Cab with named variants VL, V, SE(AT), SE(MT), and E (for Double Cab category). The latest trim is capable of generating a power of 190 PS along with a peak torque of 450 Nm. Further, it is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission along with manual mode while a six-speed manual transmission could be expected in base variants. The new pick-up truck is painted in the international hero Savanna Orange hue, which clearly confirms it is one of the colours that will be offered by Nissan. The new design features LED projector headlamps with boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lamps, 18-inch machine finished alloy wheels and a rear spoiler. Inside, it gets zero gravity inspired seats, push button ignition, a multi-function steering wheel, Bluetooth connectivity and dual-zone automatic climate control with rear seat air vents. In terms of safety, the new pick-up truck is equipped with the Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), traction control, four-wheel Active Brake Limited Slip (ABLS), Hill Start Assist (HSA) and Hill Descent Control (HDC).
Mileage and Fuel Economy:
The diesel engine of this pick up vehicle is integrated with a Common Rail Direct Injection (CRDi) supply system, which allows it to generate 14.7 kmpl of mileage in combined driving situations.
Under the hood, it would be coming employed with a better version of the current 2.5-litre diesel engine with common-rail direct injection and variable geometry turbocharging. This engine is capable of delivering a maximum power of 190 PS along with a peak torque of 450 Nm.

The Nissan designers have provided their prominent pick up truck with lots of comfort features which allow you to enjoy your ride in excellent relaxation. Its efficient rear ac vents are located on the back of the centre console along with front vents so that equal air distribution of cool air can take place in order to keep the cabin as cool as you like. When you want to unlock the door, just press the request switch on the door handle without taking out the key from your pocket. Then start the engine with a push of a button and drive away. The Nissan’s engineers have mated this powertrain with 7-speed automatic transmission along with manual mode and 6-speed manual transmission which enhances the aerodynamics of this pick up.
Stereo and Accessories:
The Japanese carmaker has not completely revealed the interiors of the car yet, but we can assure that Nissan has loaded the cabin of its all-new Navara with ample of features as standard. According to the features known till date, the NP300 Navara has a multifunction steering wheel, leather-wrapped zero gravity-inspired seats with an eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat (with two-way lumbar support) and a five-inch display with six speakers and the Aux, MP3 and USB connectivity. However, the high end variants of NP300 Navara has equipped with 2 DIN audio system and also encloses additional Ipod connectivity feature.
The pronounced wheel arches of this NP300 Navara with a robust set of wheels make this vehicle to look more sporty. Its wheels are of 18-inch size, measuring 255/60 R18 Toyo Open Country A25 tyres.
Braking and Handling:
Nissan claims that Navara has improved load carrying capacity and towing ability with payload rating in excess of one tonne across the range and towing capacity of 3500 kg. The Nissan engineers have installed double wishbone type of suspension for its front axle, while rigid 5-link with stabilizer at the rear ones. While the front and rear wheels are fitted with a set of disc brakes and drum brakes respectively. It is further assisted by anti lock braking system along with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD). Further, it is employed with responsive rack and pinion based steering wheel enabling you to handle the vehicle easily in any situation.
Safety and Security:
Nissan has fitted Navara with the sheaf of technology comprising Around view monitor, Forward emergency brake, cruise control, Hill descent control, Hill start assist, Key-less entry and Parking sensors. Its effective braking mechanism is accentuated with anti-lock braking system (ABS) with Electronic Brake Force Distribution and Brake assist giving maximum peace of mind to the driver at the event of sudden braking. The automaker has also provided an array of safety features in this car. It is integrated with Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), traction control, four-wheel Active Brake Limited Slip (ABLS). Other standard features includes dual front airbags for added protection, seat belts with pre-tensioners and load limiters, rear defogger, a pair of fog lamps and many more.
